Hi,

I'm migrating my site from J!2.5 to 3.x. When I go to upgrade Easyblog I install the new version of the component and then when I go through the install process I've hit a few issues.

If I choose to the recommended option (via network) I enter the API key and the process seems to start however it does not progress beyond 0%.

If I choose the other option, to Installation via Directory, the directory path given is:
/administrator/components/com_easyblog/setup/packages/

however the directory packages does not exist by default. Do I create the directory /packages? And which to I upload, com_easyblog_component_pro_5.0.34_joomla3.0.zip or com_easyblog_launcher_pro_5.0.34_joomla3.0.zip?

Please advise.
Thanks
Hi there,

Yes you can create the directory and upload the com_easyblog_component_pro_5.0.34_joomla3.0.zip in the folder and try to re-install it.

Thank you. That resolved the issue. I've now been able to install the new version correctly.

I do think though you could add a note in the installation process about creating the package directory to make it more obvious what needs to be done.

Hi there,

You are most welcome. Glad to hear that your issue has been resolved now.

And we will update this into our installation documentation.

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
