We have an old version (V3.7.14169) of EasyBlog on Joomla 2.5.9. The plan is to upgrade both to the latest version.

Joomla is not a problem. In this situation, what is the best way to upgrade EasyBlog (from V2.x to V5.x) without losing any data?
Hey Amrit,

It seems like you have created multiple post regarding this question. ( e.g. http://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-joomla-upgrade )

#1. Update your Easyblog version to 3.9.24862
#2. Then export all the Easyblog data from your Joomla 2.5 site, then import these data into your new Joomla 3.4.5 site. (Remember do the full backup)
#3. After imported only install Easyblog 5.

Hi Arlex, I am sorry for the double posting.
What is the correct procedure to upgrade EasyBlog from v3.7 to v3.9 to v5.x? Just one top of another?

Hey Amrit,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Perhaps you can take a look this documentation here : http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/upgrades/upgrading-from-easyblog-3-7-and-lower-to-easyblog-5

Note : Remember do a full backup before you proceed inside documentation instruction.
