First of all congratulations on this big release!! I renewed my license as soon as I got the news

As described.. I updated my ES. The update went fine and it was a success but when I checked the backend, its the same old version EasySocial v1.3.27 (Outdated) I purged the cache but no help!!
Thank you Gary.. I solved mine by downloading the Launcher and then installing. For those facing the same problem, do the following:

1) Clear Browser cache
2) Download and install the launcher
3) Run installation when the launcher prompts
4) Purge Cache
5) Purge Joomla cache and wait for sometime

You can also try hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + F5

I went in via my ftp program and simply cleaned out the tmp directory of the joomla install. Amazing how much stuff was in there from quite some time ago. Not sure why, but it seems to help in several areas.

Hi Sky Host,

Glad to hear that your issue has been resolved now.

Gary,

May I know if your issue has been resolved as well? When I tried to access your backend the following error message will appear,

Warning: include_once(/components/com_community/libraries/core.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /plugins/user/welcomemessage/welcomemessage.php on line 53

Warning: include_once(): Failed opening '/components/com_community/libraries/core.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php5.6') in /plugins/user/welcomemessage/welcomemessage.php on line 53

Fatal error: Class 'CFactory' not found in /plugins/user/welcomemessage/welcomemessage.php on line 55

I have renamed the plugin "welcomemessage" via FTP and everything should be okay for now.

Marvin,

Can I have your Joomla backend and FTP access as well so we can check on the issue directly?

My issue has also been resolved with the cleaning of the cache and the tmp directory.

There is another issue I have which has not gotten any comment from your team, and that is the loss of event descriptions. See this thread:

This is a big problem, so any help will be appreciated.

Hi Miguel,

Hm, without direct access to your site it's quite impossible to know the real cause of this issue. Since you are using your localhost, perhaps you can try to re-install easysocial and see how it goes?
