Hi,

After updating everything is gone; the colors and the category layout. The documentation said it wouldn't change my customization: http://voyager.stackideas.com/documentation/updates

It should look like https://kroeshaar.com. How do I change it back?
So, I restored a backup. Now how can I update to make use of pagination and position 9?

Hey Mireille,

May i know which forum post you referring as what my colleague help you did that customisation?

So we can better have a check.

If I am not wrong, last time my colleague help you did that customisation is make the Joomla articles listing layout same as Easyblog listing page.

If yes, the latest Voyager template version already fixed this.

May i know do you have any test site so we can try update this template latest version and see what is the issue? So it will not affect with your current live site.

Hello,

It wasn't a forum post. He helped me via email but I don't know the adjustments that were made.

I created a test site and installed the template but the layout seems the same. It looks like the layout still doesn't work by it self: http://socialshop.cloudaccess.host/

You can take a look yourself:

The going-natural.com voyager files are attached.

Hi there,

Pagination and footer are already included in the latest version. Please update to the latest version and re-apply back the customization to the site. There are few fixes included in the latest version.

Please turn on Render styling on Joomla option to render template styling for Joomla article. http://take.ms/OD2lN .

By the way, if you're applying customization to the core files, it will be overwritten by the latest version. Example of core files includes /templates/voyager/index.php . All styles customization must be placed in the /templates/voyager/assets/css/custom.css . It will not get overwritten as mentioned in our documentation. http://voyager.stackideas.com/documentation/updates .

Please let us know how did it goes. If you require an assistance, please do not hesitate to ask us and we'll try out best to assist you on the matter.

Thanks and please advise.

I think you totally missed the point. The issues started when I updated the template.

Hi there,

There is no issue with the latest version. The issues only rises when your customization are overwritten by the latest version. Let me explain to you. I have inspected your site and some of your customization are located at the core file. For example, this style are actually inline: http://take.ms/tAfh0 and it is placed in /voyager/index.php. This file is actually a core file and it will surely be overwritten.

So, instead of placing your styles customization in this file, you can utilize /voyager/assets/css/custom.css . This custom.css file is designed specifically for customization and it will not get overwritten when updating the template.

Therefore, please update to the latest version and re-apply back the customization into the appropriate file. There are few fixes included in the latest version. Please let us know how did it goes. If you require an assistance, please do not hesitate to ask us and we'll try out best to assist you on the matter.

Thanks and please advise.

So my question:

1) if the latest update is fine, how come a fresh installation on my test site looks like its not: http://socialshop.cloudaccess.host/

It look like the template still doesn't work well without easy blog that is why I don't want to install it on my live site. I don't have easy blog and I don't know where the adjustments to get the blog content layout are made.

When I installed the new template over the old one the layout was overwritten and looked like the test website above.

Hi there,

Regarding, "When I installed the new template over the old one the layout was overwritten and looked like the test website above", this is what im trying to explain. Your customization are placed in the core files. Therefore, it will get overwritten when updating to latest version. However, if you dont want to move your customization, you'll definitely have the same issue in the future when updating it again.

Did you mean your temporary site? http://socialshop.cloudaccess.host/ . I have re-apply the customization on it. All my customization are made in custom.css. So, in the future, I dont have to worry about my customization.

You can try re-install the template on this site and you'll see all customization will not overwritten.

Thanks and please advise.
