Hi,
Today I've been alerted to a strange issue when a user colleague views our Easyblog. I checked it with her using Skype screenshare.

If she clicks on the Easyblog menu item, or on the 'readmore' she is requested to login;
On pressing the 'diary' menu:
http://screencast.com/t/QNGSiiTd

On pressing 'readmore' in a Diary article:
http://screencast.com/t/G9Yw4Wc2JLx
(you can see on this one that there is a direct to a widgetkit component.)

Strangely, this situation does not occur if I view the website.

Something is clearly wrong. A bug in the system? Can you help me sort it please?
cheers, Robin
Hello Mark and Arlex,
Thanks to your help and advice the issue is sorted now.
Widgetkit did respond to say that the issue had been recognised and solved in a later version than the one I'd purchased - and I had to buy the later version! No give and take there!
Anyway its all working again from what I can see, rather thanks to you. Cheers,Robin

Hello Robin,

I have just checked your site and it looks like widgetkit is actually trying to render some fonts from your administration folder as you can see here, http://take.ms/M0Gi0

Since you have already password protected the administration folder, visitors are being prompted to enter the username / password.

As to why EasyBlog is rendering Widgetkit, I presume you probably embedded some contents from Widgetkit or loaded a module which relies on widgetkit.

You should really check this with the developer of Widgetkit.

Hi I will ask them. I can now see the same problem on a page with an embedded widgetkit link:
http://www.sightlines-initiative.com/our-work.html
but not on these pages which also have embedded widgetkit links:
http://www.sightlines-initiative.com/be-part-of-it.html?id=184
http://www.sightlines-initiative.com/the-organisation.html

I don't think I have made any association between Easyblog and Widgetkit at all, so that is really a puzzle regarding the Easblog conflict.
I will ask Widgetkit if they understand the situation.
Cheers, Robin

No Mark,
unless I misunderstand you, the only modules on the Diary section are:
the introduction 'Our Diary' (custom text)
tags (easyblog)
Categories (easyblog)
Subscribe (easyblog)

Hm, to be honest I am not too sure either but it's best that you could get Widgetkit to look into this. Either way, the way Widgetkit renders their font files should really be from the front end over the back end.

Could you explain what you mean "the way Widgetkit renders their font files should really be from the front end over the back end"?
I'm not really a techy. Do you mean they've put their files in the wrong folder?

Hey Robin,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Could you explain what you mean "the way Widgetkit renders their font files should really be from the front end over the back end"?
I'm not really a techy. Do you mean they've put their files in the wrong folder?

What my colleague mean is we not really sure why Widgetkit render their font files (.../administrator/components/com_widgetkit/vendor/assets/uikit/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2) from backend (administrator folder) instead of (frontend folder).

screenshot : http://imarklee.stackideas.com/Monosnap_2016-08-23_23-48-10.png

By right, it should render from frontend folder example : .../components/com_widgetkit/vendor/assets/uikit/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.woff2

By the way, may i know did Widgetkit response you regarding this yet?
