Hi

You say in your guide to twitter auto posting that when it is enabled in the back end, the author needs to go to their edit profile and log in via twitter.

Not sure if this is because I have easy social as well, but when I press edit profile, I end up in easy social with no mention of a twitter login anywhere?

A little help would be much appreciated.

Also when I post a new blog, it is auto posted to the main twitter account but there is no photo, is this because there is no cover image selected?

I know there is a way, but I can't find it, how do I allow the listings page to use the first image in the post in place, if there is no cover photo in the blog?

Sorry several questions in one post! Hope this is alright!
Hi Alex,

Not sure if this is because I have easy social as well, but when I press edit profile, I end up in easy social with no mention of a twitter login anywhere?

Regarding the above, yes, when you've integrated with EasySocial profile link, the profile edit from EasyBlog will actually go to EasySocial profile edit page. In this case, you might want to turn off the profile link integration from your EasyBlog backend at Settings -> Integrations -> EasySocial and disable the option 'Use EasySocial Edit Profile Link '.

Also when I post a new blog, it is auto posted to the main twitter account but there is no photo, is this because there is no cover image selected?

Regarding the above, when autopost to twitter from EasyBlog, we do not send the image url to twitter. What twitter does is, twitter will actually crawl to the url of your blog post and determined if you have the twitter card tag in the blog post. If yes, twitter will include the image defined in the twitter card. To make this happen, you will need to enable the twitter card integration from your EasyBlog backend under Settings -> Social integration -> Twitter and enable the setting 'Enable Twitter Cards'. If you blog post has the cover image, EasyBlog will use your cover image in twitter card. If no cover photo, EasyBlog will use the 1st image from your blog post in the twitter card

I know there is a way, but I can't find it, how do I allow the listings page to use the first image in the post in place, if there is no cover photo in the blog?

Em, by default this is already possible in EasyBlog where it will pick up the 1st image from your blog content if your blog post do not have a cover photo. Can you pass me your Joomla backend admin access and your ftp account so that I can investigate your issue further?

Please advise.

I am really sorry that delay of this reply,

Can you provide us with your Twitter access and FTP access as well?

I've tried to connect in your FTP server, but it seems like it didn't show on your current Joomla folder, check my screenshot below.

please advise.

Thanks Arlex

The twitter posts is indeed now showing the photo.

I am thinking that you put the picture in as a cover photo, is that right?

Do we know if the problem with the photo being shown if there is no cover photo chosen. Not just in twitter but in the main listing page as well. It's just the other posts are still not showing a picture on the listing page.

Many thanks

Hi Arlex

Thanks for sorting the test for twitter, but the listings page on the site is still not showing images unless they are cover images.

Can you look in to this please.

Please see my screen shot.

But I was told to do this by Mark, because if this is turned on then all images from the post are shown, which is not what I want.

I just want the first image in the post to be in place of the cover photo where none is selected.

Thanks

Oh, okay I've applied some temporary fix in this file -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\document\document.php it should only display 1 image now even you have upload a lot of image block.

By the way, we will implement this better solution in Easyblog 5.0.26 version.
