Message that appears: Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

I have another website with an older version of EASYBLOG of wHicH I created an App ID. I created a new App ID for this website. Is this ok or do I nee to use the same App ID from older website?

Can you please help me set this up (Facebook autoposting).

best,
Chris
Hello cmevt ,

Sorry for late reply to this,
When you hitting this error, that mean you're set wrong your site URL/domain name in your Facebook apps, can you check again with your Facebook apps inside the domain name field is it put correct format like domainname.com, and other URL part you should put http://domainname.com

If still can't make it work, please provide us with your Joomla backend, Facebook access and FTP access so we can help you check on this? Please advise.

Hello Cmevt,

Yes, now i can able to access in your Joomla backend
But I can't access your Facebook account
Please re-enter your password
The password you entered is incorrect. Please try again (make sure your caps lock is off).

Forgot your password? Request a new one.

I also noticed that you're using the older version of Easyblog and some of the setting is not set correct from your Easyblog Facebook autopost configuration page, can you update to latest version then click "revoke access" and "Sign in with Facebook" and see how it goes?

Just have a question. Is ii better to do auto posting in this facebook page; https://www.facebook.com/cmevideos OR in this facebook page (homepage); https://www.facebook.com/groups/710767768959234/

Which way am I more visible to the public?

Thanks again,

Hello cmevt,

You're welcome,
If I'm not wrong,
https://www.facebook.com/cmevideos (this is your Facebook profile page)
https://www.facebook.com/groups/710767768959234/ (this is group page)
In my opinion, that was depend on what your demand, about the Facebook group also can set this group to public, so every public user also can access and view the stream as your current Facebook group.

Hello cmevt,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
It seems like the Facebook group is not allow public user to view I just tried.
Now based on your requirement, you should create a Facebook page to replace with your current Facebook group, so the public user can able to view it without login.

Hello Cmevt,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Is it just create a simple Facebook page for you in Facebook?
What i suggestion is you have to go take a look in this creation Facebook page option, because I'm not sure that what page name you would like to set or else.
-> https://www.facebook.com/pages/create/?ref_type=logout_gear

After you changed your password, you have to click "revoke access", then go your Facebook > settings > Apps > find your Apps > Click remove (check my screenshot below), then go back Easyblog Autopost configuration page > Click Sign in with Facebook.

Sorry! You Entered An Old Password
Your password was changed at: Today at 6:35am

If you don't remember making this change, click here.

Hi Arlex,

I am having the same problem as the very beginning. When I click on 'Sign in with Facebook' i get this message;
Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

I created a new page; https://www.facebook.com/pages/CME-VT/1455712631345110?skip_nax_wizard=true&ref_type=bookmark

If this page is public, can we do setup this page for EasyBlog?

Would this be my new Page ID:455712631345110 in EasyBlog ?

What would I enter in EasyBlog for Facebook Group Id ?

Hello

First May i know which is your correct site domain name?
http://onlinepastrytrainingschool.com/ or http://www.onlinepastrytrainingschool.com/
I guess your correct domain name is http://onlinepastrytrainingschool.com/, so i set this domain name in your Facebook apps, so you will not hitting this anymore
Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

Everything is work fine now, the blog post can autopost to your Facebook page now.
If you would like change your Facebook password, then you have to following my step to reconfigure the authentication from Easyblog Autopost setting page.
STEP 1 : After you changed your password, you have go to Easyblog Autopost setting page and click "revoke access",
STEP 2 : Then go your Facebook > settings > Apps > find your Apps > Click remove (check my screenshot below remove apps.png),
STEP 3 : Then go back Easyblog Autopost configuration page > Click Sign in with Facebook.

hope this help.

I deleted the app in facebook and when I clicked on 'Sign in with Facebook', I got this message;
The following permissions have not been approved for use and are not being shown to people using your app: publish_actions, manage_pages, user_groups and user_status.
Submit them for review or learn more.

I clicked on 'Submit them for review'.
Then there is a long list of choices for me to select. Which one do I need to select?

Hello cmevt,

Sorry for late reply to this,
That was great, keep us updated then.

If you don't mind and if it doesn't take too much of your time, is it possible for you to post up a review or give us some rating for EasyBlog at Joomla! Extensions Directory http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/authoring-a-content/blog/12630 . This will really help motivate the team and will allow us to further improve our service as we move along.
