After searching through the forum I could not find a similar topic to this:

I wnat to change the look generated by this view

components/com_easyblog/themes/dashboard/system/dashboard.entries.php

by creating an override in this path

templates/yoo_avenue/html/com_easyblog/dashboard.entries.php

according to this Stackideas tutorial http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/customizations/template-overriding

but, sorry, nothing happens at all, it is not producing any effect. I reporduced also the whole folder structure inside the html folder but the same "no nothing" happens.

Is this an outdated method?
hello Pere Cadena,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
If you provided that instruction from our documentation, it should be correctly.
Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a look? Please advise.

Hi,

here is my site data in the site details section.

I tried several ways of making the override for dashboard.entries.php but no one is taking effect.

Hope you find some inspiring clue.

Thank you

Thank you Arlex,

Now I see it works, but, I'm really shocked and surprised about the solution. Protostar is not the default template, indeed is not selected for any menu.

Is always this way with components or something peculiar in EasyBlog? I always thought by reading documents like those of your site that "MyTemplate" was referencing to the selected template, not specifically Protostar template even it is not used...

Ahah!

Funny, this makes me feel not so bad about my Joomla understanding!

Now the bad thing is that I believe I already tried this! So I will have to make a "relearning".

Thank you anyhow!
