Templates empty after saving

Hi,

I spent countless hours trying to create templates and at the end each template for post opens as blank - so I loose all the work, which is very frustrating. This is an issue that has been reported here couple of times, wan't it solved yet???? I am running my joomla on the local host at the moment.
I would be grateful for help,
