I have two issues.
1. When a regular user login to the site they are seeing all streamed activity regarding adding songs or albums, it is displayed that they are the one who has added this song or alum. I use several different account to login and it is the same thing. I added the songs and update the songs as the Administrator, but any user who logged in it is saying they are the one who has done it. I am using the Music collection Extension.

Is it the Music Collection extension or the EasySocial?
Please let me know or how to fix it.

2. The birthday App is not working. I am wondering if it is because i have recently downloaded the one in your App directory. I made it so that the default would be installed so that user would already see that it is installed. But it is not showing up.

Please let me know how to fix this.

THanks Anthony.
Hello Anthony,

The issue with music collection needs to be addressed in their app itself. I think they are probably referencing the wrong user. As for the birthday app, not really sure if I understand your issue here. What do you mean by it not working, is the upcoming birthdays not appearing on your site or?

Hello Anthony,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello Anthony,

I am sorry for the late reply.
Thanks for providing us with cPanel access but however, we cannot access your site backend. Can you provide us with your site backend access so that we can continue to investigate this issue.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hello Anthony,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I have checked your site and it seems like the Birthday Apps is working correctly. Here my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/xxX9bCOz30y and http://screencast.com/t/mk739ofdU5 . If this is not the issue perhaps you can explain more so that we can understand your issue much better. Actually, this apps will not be displayed if there is no upcoming birthday in 14 days. If you have anymore question, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Sorry to bump in, but is there any way we can hide the year shown in upcoming birthdays?
users specially fairer sex would not like their year to be made public.

Hello Sunny,

Currently this is not configurable You can always modify the file /media/com_easysocial/apps/user/birthday/widgets/dashboard/view.html.php and locate the codes below,

$obj->display = FD::date($obj->birthday)->format(JText::_('DATE_FORMAT_LC3'));

Replace it with,

$obj->display = FD::date($obj->birthday)->format(JText::_('d F'));

Thanks mark,

Whats the correct override?
templates\mytemplate\html\com_easysocial\apps\user\birthday\widgets\dashboard

The above override is not functioning. (Direct core hack is working)

I believe you are using the latest cutting edge ES as the Foundry is replaced by FD

Yes, i agree. most persons do not want the year of their birthday displayed.

I would suggest mark, that you remove this in the next EasySocial update because each time a site Administrator update EasySocial they will have to modify the code once again.

Hello guys,

The code above are actually added in the view and it cannot be overriden yet at this point of time I will discuss this with the team on whether or not the year should be hidden (or perhaps make it a configuration option instead).
