Thanks. It's already turned on. I don't see any icon for subscribing to an individual post. See https://samraksh.com/support/forum/report-bug-data-collection-app-note-for-radar, for instance.

Ah, the tiny little thing in the upper right hand corner. I guess we'll have to educate our users. Elsewhere on the site, subscription opportunities include the text "subscribe" and are pretty easy to find. Can the envelope icon for post threads be changed to include the text "Subscribe to this thread"?

Thanks. In /components/com_easydiscuss/themes/simplistic I renamed the original as "subscription-orig.php" and uploaded your new one. Its slightly larger and has today's date. But nothing seemed to have changed. The subscribe to a thread is still a little envelope.

btw, I cleared Joomla's cache as well as my browser's cache.

As a side note, the example page I cited, https://samraksh.com/support/forum/report-bug-data-collection-app-note-for-radar, has 3 envelope icons on it: one to subscribe to the site, one to view conversations, and one to subscribe to the thread. Each has a different meaning and it's hard to understand what each one means.

Well, it showed up on its own today. Is there some cache that needed to expire somewhere? Yesterday I cleared the sites' Joomla cache and my browser's cache but maybe there's something else?

Well, it kind of works. The thread subscription icon now has associated text, as desired. But if you go to https://samraksh.com/support/forum/report-bug-data-collection-app-note-for-radar, you'll see that the subscription for the site towards the upper left now also says "Subscribe to this thread Subscrive via email".

There is no cache that you need to clear unless your site has cache. As for the "Subscribe to this thread Subscrive via email", can you provide us your backend and FTP so we can directly fix on your site?

Yes, it's there where it should be. But it's also there where it shouldn't. Look at the upper left, above the Discussions tab.

I think your request is a little confusing at first because if you read the thread above, you are referring to the email icon within the post and not the top of the page. The subscribe link at the top of the page is for users to subscribe to discussions created on the site not just the entry.

Do you want to remove the subscribe link at the header, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-01-25_1614.png altogether or you want to leave the functionality as it is but just reword it?

This has gotten a bit confusing. The functionality is fine. What I'm objecting to is what happened to the wording on an unrelated part of the site. See the attached image. The text at the green arrow is good. The text at the red arrow is not. It says: "Subscribe to the thread Subscribe via email". It should say "Subscribe via email", as before.

That's what I want fixed.

Looks good. But ... sorry for asking ... can you do the same kind of thing for post unsubscribe? Once I subscribe, what comes up is just the unadorned email icon again.

I've seen that happen, not sure why. When it does, just go to the home, samraksh.com and it should be OK.
