Styling issues - post padding and intro text

Hello I have just started setting up a Blog on a client site and have 2 issues so far that I can not find an answer to.

Padding - on the front page the padding is fine but when you click through to the full post the padding disappears - see screen shots attached.

Intro text - on the front page I would like to increase the amount of text before the '...'s

You can add the padding by adding the block of css codes below into your template's css file,



As for the intro text truncation, you can actually go to Settings > Layout > Truncation and set the number of characters to automatically truncate
