Voted! I fully agree with this. Voting can be used to filter quality photos. While it's not perfect, it has a lot more precision than a simple like. Video's would also benefit from this. It is also a quick way to get people's real opinions about a post.

I don't know if this is actually planned already but on the ES 1.7 Roadmap you can see a "Ratings field". I hope that when the stacked team takes care of the many other chores that this gets added as shown on the roadmap.

You're right, they have rating fields on roadmap for 1.7 release but what I have in mind is something different and more advanced than simple fields. Moreover they are already 2 months behind schedule (they will become 3 months or more as soon as they release betas and RCs).

Once stars are implemented, it should be fairly easily to add sorting such as "best this week" or "highest rated in this gallery". So in short it should not be too hard to make it more than just a custom field, in other words the stars them selves are the hardest part.
