With the talented team at Stackideas, imagine all GPL products integrated nicely without the restrictions of Joomla. You guys live and breathe code so it would be easy to build a better URL structure ( no more com_ in any URL or extra heavy plugins for SEO), seemless theme between all products, etc. etc.
Thanks for the heads up on this Peter

After some time with EB, I must say that Joomla just makes my experience with stackideas product (EB, ES) look bad.

examples:
double menus - joomla menu and eb menu (three if you include ES)
media - many ways to insert media and then add to that eb media and es media

Without Joomla - one single menu, one media management, one user manager, etc. etc. and all integrated nicely even with own SEO system that would be far better than joomla.

So far, it's fumbling through joomla and EB/ES side of settings and nothing but headache.

Dream setup would be one stackideas product as "base" and other plug into it. Let's say ES (like wordpress) and all the other stackideas products snap into place similar to wordpress plugins.

Hello Peter,

Yes, I do agree that the "menu management" in Joomla is really bad because user's would need to understand why "Hidden Menu's" are necessary. I believe they are already addressing menu issues in 3.5 and as for your "central" location to manage all your media's, this is something that we will be improvising in EasyBlog 4.0. I cannot disclose much information about it yet but I am certain that it will catch your attention and you might want it more over Wordpress (Sorry if I am being to bold here).
