Here are some issues I noticed.
1. Pictures in email aren’t being resized. Please see attached the screenshot.
2. I run ED forum layout on “Forum” menu item as site.com/forum, but when I browse through other ED menu items like Recent, Categories and turn back to “Forums” by clicking Forums on ED menu, I meet this: site.com/forum/forums. So there are two different URLs which run the same ED index. As far as I know, this is not a normal behavior. “Forums” item of ED menu should direct to site.com/forum, not to a different URL with the same content.
3. Do-not-show-tags option is available only for Recent layout. But we need this option not just for recent but forums and categories layout as well.
4. Forums and Categories layouts should also have option of "show featured posts on frontpage."
Best regards,

Looks like there is a bug in the email notifications. It should wrap the items within the container.

I can't reproduce this locally. Are you on the latest version of EasyDiscuss? Can you please edit your post above and include the back end and FTP access so that I can check on this?

Noted, we'll add this in the next update of EasyDiscuss

Don't quite get you here. Featured posts are always appearing on the front page. Do you mean you don't want to display featured posts here?

2. You can see it from your demo as well. There are 2 different URLs with the same content. It is a confusion for me. I am not sure if search engine also would like it.

Maybe you should not name recent layout in URL as index. Maybe you can name it as recent?

Our demo site runs on a different setup. Please provide the access to check on your first issue. I cannot reproduce this locally.

We can't just rename it, everyone's site would generate a 404 error if they were previously using /index/.

2nd issue. Regarding this URL issue, I have added site details.

I still think that recent layout's URL should be renamed to avoid confusion. ED4 runs a different URL structures with id posts. So no need to worry about breaking just a single URL as all post URLs are already broken.

I've help you change the Easydiscuss SEO to use `Use Menu ItemId Determined By EasyDiscuss`, it should work fine now.

By the way, I noticed when you click on the category title from forum page, it will show forum/forum also, I will log this issue in our tracker and we will fix this in next release version.

Hi Arlex,

Yes, when you click forums on category page, you go to forum/forums.

I still have an URL with forum/forums. It should give a 404 error actually. So you are going to fix this issue in the next release, right?

Do you mind to explain what the difference is between "Use Current Active Menu ItemId" and "Use Menu ItemId Determined By EasyDiscuss" options? Why to choose second one instead of first option?

Hi Zafer,

Yes, that is correct. We've already logged this issue into our bug tracker and we will include the fix in the next release of EasyDiscuss.

Do you mind to explain what the difference is between "Use Current Active Menu ItemId" and "Use Menu ItemId Determined By EasyDiscuss" options? Why to choose second one instead of first option?

Regarding the above, when you use 'Use Current Active Menu ItemId', EasyDiscuss will reuse the ItemId from the current viewing menu item. E.g. If you are currently in menu item with alias /all-categories and if you click on the topic title, EasyDiscuss will generate the sef for the topic with /all-categories/hello-world.

However, if you are using 'Use Menu ItemId Determined By EasyDiscuss', EasyDiscuss will 'try' to retrieve an ItemId that best suit the item being view. E.g you have created two menu item, one is pointing to EasyDiscuss forums page. Another one is pointing to All categories page. When you are click a topic title from 'all categories' page, since this post item do not have any menu item created for it, EasyDiscuss will use the ItemId from your 'forums' page. So your sef link become /forums/hello-world

Hope this explained to your the differences between 'use current active menu itemid' and 'use menu itemid determined by EasyDiscuss'.

Hope this help and have a nice day!
