Hello

After upgrading ES, some of the unpublished applications are published again. I noticed this on 1.3.20 -> 1.3.21 and this happened again on 1.3.21 -> 1.3.22.

Please find hereby a list of the unpublished apps, before and after the upgrade.

Thanks

.Fixed in ES 1.4.9
Hi,

Thanks for reporting, we will check on our locally regarding this issues.

Hello

From ES 1.3.23 Changelog, I thought it had been fixed ("Fixed the field apps publish status will not get reset after update latest version").

But it keeps on happening. I have just been updating from 1.3.23 to 1.3.24 using the Launcher (com_easysocial_launcher_starter_1.3.24_joomla3.0.zip) and the same apps where published again. I also noticed that for these apps, Permalink was reset (maybe all options are?).
I am on Joomla 2.5 if this may help.

Regards

Hi Altitudes,

Sorry for late reply to this,

it seems like I can't reproduce this issues, this is what I test from my locally.

STEP 1 : Unpublished all the apps from backend
STEP 2 : Changed a few apps "Permalink"
STEP 3 : Update to latest version.
RESULT : All the apps still appeared unpublished state and the "Permalink" is stay with the same alias.

I've tested twice time for Joomla 3.4.1 and Joomla 2.5 update from 1.3.23 version.

Am I missing some of the step to reproduce this issues? Please advise.

Hello

That's strange... Did you update using the Launcher (installing com_easysocial_launcher_starter_1.3.24_joomla3.0.zip and launching ES install procedure)?

Hello Altitudes,

I believe you are using the "updater" instead of downloading a new launcher. We have addressed this in the latest launcher. If you used the new launcher, you should be able to get this fixed as Arlex mentioned earlier.

Hi Altitudes,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Yes, I can reproduce this issues, but I only can reproduce this issues about permalink is auto reset.

Maybe that was the cache issues, I will ask our system administrator to clear all the Easysocial launcher cache file and see how it goes update in next version of Easysocial.

Because everything is work fine if you update using the full installation zip file.

Hello

Unfortunately, this happened again with ES 1.3.25 update, using the Launcher com_easysocial_launcher_starter_1.3.25_joomla3.0.zip.

Same apps as previously were republished (see first message), and their permalinks reset

Hi,

Okay, it seems like you're keep hitting this issues, can I have the permission to install older version of Easysocial in your demo site and test on this issues?

By the way, can you try mention which apps is auto published and which permalink is auto reset?

Hello

I updated to ES 1.3.30 recently and still have the same issue... I am on Joomla 3.4 now (previously I was on Joomla 2.5) and was hopping that things would work better, but it's not.

Can you look into this again please? Thanks.

Hello

Unfortunately, this is still happening (I just upgraded from ES 1.4.7 to 1.4.8, using the update button in ES Dashbord in backend).
Please find attached the list of unpublished apps before and after update: event and group apps were republished during upgrade.

You can test this on my dev site if you like, you will need to downgrade to ES 1.4.7 first and then unpublish the apps before re-upgrading.

Thank you
