How can we implement html code for each individual user profile such as Skype or other. For example get code from http://www.skype.com/en/features/skype-buttons/create-skype-buttons/
Nice idea! Putting this into 1.3 or probably 1.2.10 as a custom field app

Hello checksum,

Skype is a little more interesting because you could load the online / offline tool but I don't think the rest allows you to.

Most popular sites links like Facebook are easily done by by entering a url field. But in Skype case you need a html field that allows editing or code entry on the frontend. This cannot be done at this point of time with your standard html custom field . Jomsocial has a plugin called skypemaster from
http://www.techgasp.com/jomsocial/chat-messaging/jomsocial-skype-master-plugin that works perfectly.

Hi,

EDIT:

Just realised that this needs to be more than HTML field as Skype button is different for each individual.

That's correct but in the user edit you can insert the code via the backend but it will be the same for all users. If the html is editable from the frontend and linked to each specific user database field it will work correctly. This some function can be used for almost any other service that a user wishes it is also a way to introduce profile videos and so on.

Isn't there a security risk to be able to insert scripts or html in a form, that's why joomla disables it by default for the user.

Hi,

Depends on the script actually. Hence adding script is only available for admins.
