Hey Michael, we are all more than happy to help, but in order to help we need details about your setup. The first step would be to provide admin login access to the Stackideas Support team, they can go in and look if the bottleneck is caused by a plugin/component/module conflict... that said, as a community we would be more than happy to help. If you want community help, please take the time to collect as many details about your setup as possible... here are some examples of details to share with the community to improve your odds of getting quality suggestions and advise.

What type of server do you use? Shared hosting, VPS, Cloud, Dedicated etc?

Is it NGINX or Apache?

Do you run any compressions? If so are they server side (Gzip, Mod_Pagespeed) or Joomla plugins (JCH Optimize, RokBooster, Too Many Files)?

Do you use any caching, and if so what type? File caching, Memcached, APC etc.?

Does your server have normal HDDs or SSDs?

What version of PHP do you run?

What type of database do you run? MySQL, MariaDB or Persona?

What version of MySQL/MariaDB/Persona are you running?

You might not be familiar with a lot of the things I listed, and that is perfectly OK But in order for us to help we need as much information as possible both about your setup and your experience level. If you do not know, you could always ask your hosting provider for more details about their setup and specs

Basically there are two ways of speeding up your site, one way is to disable problematic plugins and components that slow down your site, the other is to improve your server setup. The best way to improve things is to move your site to a server where you have root access and can configure and optimize everything... a good start is a VPS server like what DigitalOcean or Linode offer. However, for these you gotta configure the servers from scratch or hire someone to do so for you. They generally offer ways of speeding up the process with sample setups/templates... but even then you need to be comfortable with basic command line/terminal stuff. Also, let us know what your monthly budget is for hosting and who you are hosting with. Maybe we can suggest better options.

Please provide us with as many details a possible, and as a community we would be more than happy to suggest different improvements.

P.S. As mentioned in my post, I am talking about community support, not official stackideas support. I am just a subscriber like you, I do not work for Stackideas. So all I can help with is basic advise and tips.
