I have the 'Sign In with Facebook' process configured in EasySocial, I've created the app in Facebook and setup the App ID and secret. All seems to be configured correctly.

When I click the 'Sign In with Facebook' button, a popup opens from facebook, I authorize the facebook connection, the parent page then redirects to the EasySocial login/register page. I'm not logged in at that point and a new user account was not created.
Hey there,

I suspect your Facebook app is not configure correctly, can you add my Facebook account `1239490531` into your Facebook app so I can better have a check? (You can assign me on your Facebook app role section)

I've added you to the facebook app as a developer. Also, this error message may be helpful ...

"There is an error retrieving your Facebook details. Facebook returns an error message of: 'An active access token must be used to query information about the current user.' "

Thanks, I've checked in your Facebook app, it seems like you missed up one step for create Facebook login product, you can check my attached screenshot below.

By the way, I already help you created, can you try login via Facebook in your site again?

If the issue still persists, can you provide us with your Facebook access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site optional information area then I can try in your Facebook authentication in Easysocial and see how it goes.

I'm getting the following error: "There is an error retrieving your Facebook details. Facebook returns an error message of: "An active access token must be used to query information about the current user.""

This seems to be an issue with the way the access token is being passed, not an issue with my Facebook account specifically. Were you able to login?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Based on my experience on this issue, that should be the app configuration issue, if you try login via facebook now, you should able to login sucessfully because I just created another new Facebook app then configured into your site, you can check my attached screenshot below.

By the way, I would suggest you create another new Facebook app before you click Facebook login from frontend, you have to make sure all the thing already setup correctly in the Facebook app. (refer on my attached screenshot below and also remember update your Facebook app key in Easysocial backend)

Or you can directly pass me with your Facebook account so I can quickly help you setup this and make the Facebook login work perfectly.

Ok, I created a new app and added the ID and the key in EasySocial. I was able to login/create an account using the facebook sign in button.

It seems, however, that once I'm logged in I can only access my profile edit page within EasySocial. I cannot access the community, or my profile view, etc.

Also, what is the difference in "Sign in With Facebook" and "Register with Facebook"?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Try check my attached screenshot below, because you set when the user register via Facebook, it will assigned to `Forever Free` profile type, and this profile type is disallow user to access all of Easysocial page, to fix this, you have to enable `Allow community access` from your `Forever Free` profile type.

Hope this help.
