When using the Facebook share link or the ShareThis Facebook Share link provided on the blog page, the image that is associated with the post is not our logo. Another image from our homepage footer is displayed instead. Is there a method to assign an image that will be pulled by the sharing script?

We want others to be able to share our posts on their Facebook pages, but we want our logo to be included with the shared post, not an affiliates logo.

Thanks so much for your assistance,
Mat
Hello Mat,

In order for Facebook to pull the correct image, you need to associate an image to the blog post. Since there are no other images that Facebook could utilize, it used the logo instead. To fix this, you will have to set a blog image for your blog post. After that, place the link http://www.more-than-words.com/blog/entry/providing-access-in-jendouba at https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug to ensure that Facebook clears the cache of the url.

Mark... thanks for the assistance. I've added an image to the blog post and cleared the cache for the url on the FB dev site, but so far I'm not seeing any changes. Should the change be evident or should I wait a bit?

Hello Mat,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. This is something that annoys me a lot but Facebook puts precedence to images that is at least 200x200px . Can you try uploading a square version of your logo for the blog image and set it to 200x200?
