Hi,

where can i restrict the ability to share for "Registered" for example?
I dont want all profiletyps to share to anyone.
Hi Dennis,

1. the admin should have more rights to manage the privacy settings. Even if i set this in the profiletype the user is able to change this, this is not a good way if you want to build a community with different profiletypes. In my case only the paying users should be able to post things in the wall...

Admin can only manage the privacy settings via profile types As for user's privacy, currently there is no way to restrict user from changing their privacy setting We will see if we can add an ACL in profile type so that admin can decide if the users in a particular profile type can edit user's privacy or not.

2. in that case its better to communicate this to the user and let it open if there are other questions. But to close on your side its not a common way in support...

The reason that we lock the thread is to prevent the thread from being misleading. Our guideline for everyone is to stick to 1 question per thread. If you need to post any other questions, please do create a new thread.

It will be easier for you and for the team to keep track of your issues that way

Hope this help and have a nice day!

I am sorry but currently it is not possible to restrict the user privacy to only post on everyone.

Hi,

not only post on everyone, but that users are not able to post to everyone or all registered.
It cannot be, that one user for example makes spam to all registered users. Is that really not possible to restrict this??

Hi Dennis,

You can only set the default privacy value from your backend > easysocial > profile types > select profile > privacy, http://screencast.com/t/gIRjN8r2KMG and also backend > easysocial > privacy > "who can view my story", http://screencast.com/t/J0g19Bjs7 . However your easysocial are still able to change the privacy value from their own frontend privacy settings and also during the creation of story on the dashboard.

Unfortunately it is not possible to totally restrict the users from changing their own privacy by themselves currently.

Hi Dennis,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I am sorry but currently there is no direct setting to disable user from posting story on other user's profile. The only options that a user can configure is on their own privacy setting. Login to EasySocial frontend under 'privacy setting' and under 'Profile' tab, choose 'only me' on 'Pos Story' privacy. Alternatively, you can configure the same in profile type. Go to EasySocial backend under profile types -> [select your profile] -> privacy and select 'only me' on 'Who can post status on my profile page'. Remember to click the checkbox 'Tick the checkbox to reset all user's default privacy under this profile.' checkbox to reset everyone that associate with this profile. http://screencast.com/t/n5TMLSbplzHM

Please take note, user will still able to reconfigure the privacy for their own profile page.

PS: why is my other post locked? http://stackideas.com/forums/community-access-rules

The reason we lock the thread is because what you are seeking is something not possible yet with EasySocial

Hope this help and have a nice day!
