Hi there! when i used to use jomsocial. We had like soundcloud, google plus, instagram apps that we could use with our accounts. They were embedded into the profile. Are you guys planning to do the same in the near future?
Hello Sam,

You could contact the respective app owners and request them to add this in or make it work with EasySocial

Does that mean you guys don't plan on making your own google plus and twitter registration/login and profile import for ES?

Hello Peter,

I think you misunderstood the post above The post above is for apps that supports these other 3rd party integrations and they are powered by plugins / apps. It's purpose is to display those widgets on a profile and it isn't related to registrations

Hi Mark,

I've been wondering about this too and with all due respect to you guys, I can't see Google, Soundcloud or Facebook (Instagram) making EasySocial apps anytime soon.

For EasySocial to gain traction and compete with JomSocial and CB, such apps are essential, as end users have become accustomed to them.

This then leaves one unanswered question. Who will develop these apps that interact with the major platforms?

Mark H is right on this, it is very unlikely to see Google and such get involved with this. Unless you happen to know of cases where this sort of stuff happens.

I agree. They will be spending more time on improving their own products.

If I were an app developer, I would start developing and selling the apps myself!

I hate to suggest it (as I'd rather see it included as Stackideas Developed addons), but maybe that is what needs to happen.

If such a thing happened, the core apps such as articles and such should remain free considering that they act as part of the core functionality of Easysocial.

I guess, we could actually add these enhancements to the profile later or you guys could actually contact the developers that create these plugins for JomSocial and request them to make a port to EasySocial just like what the guys at Nordmograph is doing These apps were not written by JomSocial themselves and they are actually 3rd party addons.

While I been keeping an eye on JomSocial for many years, I have never officially owned a copy of it. So pardon my ignorance to this situation. I had assumed what Mark H was talking about was login integration similar to how ES has integration with facebook.
