Hi there,

I am wondering for what reason there is allmost all urlĀ“s /entry/ part. If not necessary to keep it I would like to know how to set it off.

Thank you.

Cheers

Hello Milan,

Yeah, that's the part that you need to sacrifice. Here's the catch, when we generate SEF urls, there is no real way to determine what text is pointing to which view. The only way for us to be able to identify the URL is by the number of segments in a SEF url.

For instance in the url, /blogs/entry/title , we know that the first segment is always the Joomla menu, and the second segment as the view. Hence, we'll be able to know that the user is viewing a blog post.

Hello Milan,

You can turn this off by setting your SEO mode to "simple" in the back end settings of EasyBlog under Settings > SEO

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your reply. You are right, I have seen that. However, if I select Simple I cannot have my url like this: sample.com/menuitem/easyblogcategory/article. Is there any way I can compose such url?

Anyway, can you explain me what is the idea behind of /view/ url-part?

Thank you.

Cheers
Milan
