There is no option for menu item for search in ED, as possibly by assigning a menu the com_easydiscuss can be hidden.

Like in easysocial advanced search, there is no com_easysocial.

Easysocial advanced search also use com_easysocial. You can hide it with Joomla SEF. SEF will help you turn this URL: http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss to something like this: http://www.yoursite.com/discuss. You can enable SEF in you Joomla Global Configuration page: http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-11-14_1506-1.png

You are right in easy social we can use joomla default sef because there is a menu option in ES wherin we can link a menu item to advanced search page.

But in ED there is no option to create a menu item for search page. If there was a menu item the url could be http://www.yoursite.com/MENU_NAME_FOR_SEARCH

Ah, I see. Sorry for the confusion earlier. Please try to replace the attached file in: ../components/com_easydiscuss/themes/simplistic/searchbar.php . If this doesn't work, you can provide us your backend and FTP so we can install it for you.

It looks like the search results are not passed to the plugins before stripping and displaying it. This causes plugin type tags to be broken.

I believe it is not about the result. Because, when you perform the search, we will get the $query (in your case is {source}) and display it in the message and the search form: - . Once it is displayed, it will break the js file. That's why your page become like that. If you don't mind, I will help you remove the message and value in the search form so it will become like this instead: - . Please advise.
