Search Filter on member list does not work correct in Edge browser

We are using version 4.0.8 and replaced user.php according this issue: http://stackideas.com/forums/fatal-error-users
When you start a user list to see the members you see them all.
Enter a search value. The list is filtert correct.
Clear the search value and hit Enter. The list is still filtert according the previous search value.
This happens in the browser Edge, Firefox and Chrome work fine.
If you would like achieve this, try download my attached file and replace into this following file location and see how it goes.

JoomlaFolder\components\com_easydiscuss\themes\wireframe\users\default.js

If the search field do not have any value, the search engine will not perform any search function.

If I getting wrong your mean here, perhaps you can elaborate more details regarding with your question so I can better have a check.

The problem is that you can't clear the search filter.
When I enter an 'a' in the search filter I wil have all the users with an 'a' in there name.
When I have this I can't go back to the original view with all the users displayed.
And it is not only Edge, but also FF en Chrome.
