Hi everybody,

I am working on a relaunch and have a very fresh installation of easysocial (with some old data imported). However, the issue seems to come from somewhere else.

When I look on the dashboard (http://www.dev.nlp-deutschland.de/community), two things are not working. Number one is the tooltip for the users (move your mouse over the user-images in the module on the top right) and the split-screen on the mobile view. The botton "switch sidebar" is not showing up on my iphone. But it works on EVERY OTHER PAGE. Even on the ES-Pages, it´s no problem. Only on the dashboard it does not work.

So I would guess, there are some kind of script-conflicts. But ... I have no clue how to solve them. Can you give me a hint?

All the best, Julian!
Hello Julian,

Perhaps you can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue?

Please advise.

Hello Julian,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Hurm, seems like I cannot replicate the issue on your site. Check my screenshot below for both of your issue.
1) Tooltip for the user - http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-26_1623_001.png
2) Sidebar toggle button on smartphone - http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-26_1626.png

Am I missing something here? Please advise.

Hi Ezrul,

I was searching for over an hour now, because it did not work in IE, FF, Chrome and iPhone.
Could you please try the bouth things also when you are NOT logged in?

All the best, Ju lian!

Hi Ezrul,

I tested some more stuff and I want to give you some more information. But please consider

a) It only makes sense, to think about this, after you can confirm the bugs. So please test if you can reproduce them by not being logged in. I can confirm the behaviour: When I am logged, all works fine. When I am visiting the page as a guest, all bugs that I described are happening.

b) I am aware that the recent bugs probably come from a combination of different extensions. So It´s not neccecarily ES-related. But ... it only shows up on ES-pages and I would really love to get it solved WITHOUT disabling the other extensions. If this goes beyond the regular support feel free to charge me some money, ok?

So now to the topic. What I have and use is:

JCH Optimize is installed and I like to run it on the maximum performance.
The issue seems to be the JS-aggregation. As soon as I turn it off, everything works as desired. As soon as I turn it on, all bugs are present.

In JCH Optimize I can exclude JS-Files from aggregation. Even if I exclude EVERY JS of the page, while turning the aggregation on, the bugs are present. So I am not sure if it might be caused by "a single script".

The bugs are:
- Hover-Effect of User-Profiles does not work
- Mobile view does not work correctly
- When I turn on Lazy-Load for the images, the logo and the user-images in the module don´t show up correctly
- All bugs are ONLY happening on ES-pages. For example: The module-images and the logo don´t show up on ES-Pages, but they show up normaly (including Hover) on other pages, even with all options and scripts turned on.

So what I think is:
There must be any kind of a scripting-thing happening only for guests and only when ES is loadet completely (as a component). This does not trigger on registered users and it does not trigger on non-ES pages.

Sounds weired?
Yeah ...

As I said: It wo uld be great to get that solved, because aggregating the JS-Files saves so much load-time and size.
I am using a CDN for optimizing and I am on a very good server, so it would be frustrating if I need to turn a feature like the aggregating of JS-Files off.

All the best, Juilan!

Hello Julian,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

May I know did you turn off the aggregation on your site? It seems like the popup is working fine on my end now when I view it as a guest. You can check my screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-28_1104.png . Please advise.

Hi Ezrul,

that is so weired: It also works for me now.

The onliest thing I have done since my past posting: I installed sh404 and configured it.
In JCH-Optimize there is an option to about url_rewrite, which was turned on all the time. So my onliest idea is, that the error was somehow related to the rewrite-engine and by installing sh404 something was changed.

If you want, I can test if the error comes back when I turn of sh404 and further I can test, if the error maybe vanishes when I turn off the complete rewriting-engine of Joomla. For me it is not neccecary to do so now, I just want to offer to inspect it a little bit more, so you got some more informations if you ever face a issue like this again.

All the best, Julian!
