I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

There are no other way of saying this but during the update, all of your current existing customization will get override and you will lost the customization. This is the reason why we encourage people to do the customization in the template file using template override, rather than modify it directly in the easysocial core file. Here is some of my suggestion if you want to keep the customization after the update.\

1) Do a customization backup before the update by manually copy the folder or file into your local machine or pc with the respective path. After the update, you can manually replace the folder/file back to your live site.

2) Use template override for the easysocial customization. You can refer to our documentation here for more info on how template override works. http://stackideas.com/docs/easysocial/administrators/templating

You as a site owner has the absolute choice whether you want to update or not. If you feel you should update to the newer version, always perform a backup in case something unexpected happen. Hope these help.

When the new version has new frases - should i add those frases to the override file?

How do i recognize new frases?
