Can you change user group for Role B to super user and see did you still hit this issue.

I had already tried that but to no avail.

It seems like if a user is assigned more than 1 (joomla) role, ED will take the lowest one to assign an ED role. It should take the "highest" one.

Can you try open this table #__discuss_roles from your PHPMYADMIN, then assign the value in your `ordering` column .

Apprentice Whatifer -3 

Whatifer - 2

Master Whatifer - 1

If one of the user under this 3 Joomla user group, it will see the ordering first one.
Keep us updated then the result.
