Santa told me that he lost his GPS and thus were unable to deliver EB5 at the moment.

Jokes aside; EB5 is already in the oven; it should be out pretty soon.

I have personally been working around the clock to get this up and running as fast as we can and I must say that I am extremely impressed and happy with the progress we have made with the composer. It's going to be treat for you guys when the alpha is out and it's definitely going to give Wordpress a hard time

Yes, there will be an alpha / bleeding edge version because we need to extensively test the migration from EasyBlog 3.x to EasyBlog 5. I can honestly let you guys know that the base system itself has changed almost 99.99% and this is what is taking us such a long time to get it done correctly. We need to maintain compatibility with older posts whilst still creating a new awesome editor capability

hi Mark, thanks for your usefull info with EB 5 Alpha. i recommend you to check the following scenarios for migration of 3.9 Content to 5.0 Composer Content.

1. Blog Images wich are added from Admin in other User Blog (On my site i add sometimes a Blog Image from admin Media Manager to User Blogs if they forget to add a Blog Image from there Media Manager! there is in 3.9 no other way for admins to access all User Media Manager)

2. Images in Content wich are seperated in Media Manager Folders

3. Images in Content wich are not seperated in Media Manager Folders

3, Images in Content wich are have a Caption title

4. Gallery in Content from Jomsocial albums wich are transfered to Remote storage s 3. (Thumbs and Detailphoto)

5. Gallery in Content from Jomsocial albums wich are transfered to Remote storage s 3 (Thumbs and Detailphoto) but originalphotos are not available on server because of the settings in jomsocial ( Configuration > Photo > Delete Original Photos > yes/no)

6. Image Thumbs sizes for 3.9 Blog Images, Featured Blog Images, Preview Thumbs in content and so on..

By the way, just to update you guys that in EasyBlog 5, there will be tons of "performance" improvements on EasyBlog as we are testing out our new query caching algorithm I would say, we managed to reduced up to 200% performance bottlenecks

This is just the tip of the iceberg and we're really pushing real hard to get an alpha out as soon as we can.

Keep pushing ---- can't wait, this is going to be an awesome year! Looking forward to bringing the Alpha into the test bed and then out to my sites
