Hi
Is there an easy way to enable reply to comments made by a guest user on a blog post please?
Hi Gordon,

I am sorry for the late reply.

I am not sure what do you mean by easy way to enable reply to comment. Can you explain more so that we can assist you better on this issue. By the way, you can reply to a comment from the frontend.

Hope this helps and please advise.

Hi Mohd
I just added a test blog via email remote publishing and then added a comment, which I then published as moderator. You will see the comment count is now set to 1. However, the comment does not appear on the blog post? Could you please advise if I have a wrong setting in the the backend somewhere.

I also just noticed the lock icon on the front end of the blog post so I now realise I can log in and edit the blog. What is the best way to reply to the specific comment though?

Hi Gordon,

I have checked your site and it seems like your site is using the 3rd party template and theme. I suspected that there must be some missing code in your site. Can you provide us with the correct FTP access so that we can further investigate this issue.
Could not connect to server “xxx”.

Please advise.

Hi Mohd
Sorry about that, I've reset the FTP password for you - login details in the tab.

Hi Mohd
I also noticed that Updater does not work. The API key is correct but I get a message:

Installed version: 3.9.22134

Latest available version: 3.9.22295

Sorry, but your hosting environment does not have CURL support. Please contact your hosting provider to install CURL extensions.

I've checked with my hosting provider and they say that cURL is installed on the server.

Hi Mark

Thanks - is your answer related to Comments not showing? This is certainly working perfectly now so thanks for that.

My only remaining issue is the Updater and cURL problem. My hosting provider has confirmed cURL is supported and they have opened port 3333 for me but I just checked the Updater function in the backend and it still doesn't work. I found an old forum post saying port 3333 has to be open to remote connections for Updater to work.

Hello Gordon,

Yep, that's correct the comments has been fixed. As for the updater, it now connects to port 80 at the server node.stackideas.co
