Hi I have made the appropriate changes to the ACL to allow public and all others to submit replies to comments but any new comments have no method of replying. Please explain why. see attached
Hi Robert,
Why is Komento ignoring the settings for 'Public' these 'Public' users do not require to login? I need to understand why Komento is ignoring the 'Public' settings? Please explain.
Different sites can have different groups for non logged in users. This is defined under Joomla users options(attached). If you site set this setting to 'Guest', then Komento will look at the 'Guest' user group. If your site sets this to 'Public', then Komento will look at 'Public' ACL settings.
Is the user supposed to use the existing comments form, if why is there no indecator of any kind to guide the user to use the existing comments form to make the reply. Please dirrect me to the section in the documentation that explainss this process. thank you.
Yes the existing comment form is used for replying when users click on reply. We will add some indicator so that users are aware to use the existing form.
Where can I set the moderation of the replys to a comment as it appears that anyone can reply with no moderation at all?
You may set the moderation in this section: Settings>General>Moderation
This applies to both comments and the replies.

Hi Robert,

It appears that you are missing the ACL setting in the Guest user group. Go to backend > component > komento > ACL. You can see 'Guest' under the group title. Go to the guest group and enable the 'Reply comments'.

Go to front end and you can see the changes made.

Hi,

I see that guest is not set to reply to comments however the screenshot that i sent above shows clearly that 'Public' is set to leave replies. I have no registered users who are part of a 'Guest' group. Joomla allows us to create a 'Guest' group to dirrect logged in users of a 'Guest' group to view pages for 'Guests' only. Why is Komento ignoring the settings for 'Public' these 'Public' users do not require to login? I need to understand why Komento is ignoring the 'Public' settings? Please explain.

I have attached again the ACL (komento's ACL), still not sure why there are two ACL's your documentation does not address this, why?

I notice that now I have set 'Guest' ACL to allow replies a little 'Reply' message appears at the bottom of the comment. When clicked it does not appear to do anything?
