Good morning

We have a lot of our users that reply to system emails, in stead of logging in.

This causes a lot of lost communication and misunderstandings.

Is there a way to send emails from the system with reply handlers?

There would be a reply to that would look something like the one posted above.

And than the reply would be read by ES and automatically posted as a reply, comments or post for example.

I hope you will amaze us again by saying this is already possible.
Hello Eddie,

I am really sorry but unfortunately this is not possible yet We do have plans for this initially by borrowing our mail parsing techniques from both EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss. However, what we are still pretty uncertain yet is when a user replies to that email, what should that particular email be converted to. It's going to be pretty insane having to process every single email differently.

Yes i can imagine!

Maybe just have them go to the wall of the group?

Could generate issues with users posting things they dont want to post publicly.

Email feels private, and the wall is not. Right?

Hello Eddie,

Yes, that's absolutely the concern that we have Firstly, privacy is an issue. If you are thinking that your email reply is private, and out of a sudden, you find your replies on the stream. That would be quite insane

Secondly, if the person that is replying to the email is not a registered user on the site, it would be tricky too!

One solution could be to have notification emails send from no-reply@site.com and then have an automated reply that says "Your reply went to an automated no reply system. Please copy your reply, login, and send it to the appropriate recipient". This would make it obvious to the user that their message did not go through.
