I received a notification that my license is about to expire. Upon looking at the renewal costs, I found things to be quite a bit higher than the original price I paid of $158 for the StackIdeas Social Professional Bundle. Could you explain the price increase? Why can I not continue at the original price I paid?

Please advise. Thank you.
Hello Bill,

If you use the coupon code that is included with your email for renewals, it's cheaper than the original bundle plan that you have purchased

Mark,

Sorry for the delay in responding. Life got pretty hectic and this fell off of my radar. The email from StackIdeas about the new website reminded me I needed to renew!

So when I go to renew, I don't see how I could get the price cheaper than what I purchased originally. If I click the "Renew Now" buttons, it simply adds the full-priced products individually to my cart, making the total well over what I paid initially. Am I supposed to just buy the bundle again and apply the renew coupon instead of using the renew links in my dashboard?

Please let me know.. thanks!

Hi Bill,

Thank you for your response. Actually, the packages are one-time purchase and doesn't apply when it comes to renewal. We'll discuss this amongst our marketing team and see if we can make it so that bundles can be purchase and renewed as bundle packages. Meanwhile, the solution that I have for you is for you to renew each item separately using the coupon code that was provided. This means that each renewals will give you a 20% discount.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

So, just that I understand...

My original purchase on 4/6/13:
Social Professional Bundle: $158.00 (at the time, this did not include EasySocial)

If I purchase the same bundle again now:
Professional Bundle: $158.00 (same products I originally purchased; what about SectionEx?)

If I renew each product individually, with coupon code RENEWNOW:
Komento: $20
SectionEx: $36
EasyDiscuss: $63.20
EasyBlog: $63.20
-------------------------------
Total: $182.40

The original message I received from you about renewal stated:
"If you use the coupon code that is included with your email for renewals, it's cheaper than the original bundle plan that you have purchased "

How is $182 less than $158? Am I missing something?

Thanks for discussing this with me. If I was making money from my site, this wouldn't be a big deal.. but my site is just for fun and sees little use right now, so the price of these Joomla add-ons, as awesome as they are, is very important to me.

Hi Bill,

Thank you for your response. Ah, now I get it. The reason why we say that renewing each license using the coupon code is cheaper is because we didn't take SectionEX into consideration. We have decided to take out SectionEX from the bundle somewhere along the line. By taking out SectionEX, the renewal for your total bundles (using the coupon code) would be :

Komento: $20
EasyDiscuss: $63.20
EasyBlog: $63.20
-------------------------------
Total: $146.40

Currently, I'd suggest for to renew these license first. As for your SectionEX, we might be able to work something out. Would you be kind enough to send us a ticket and mention my name in the title? I'll personally ensure that your SectionEX's renewal will be resolves.
