Hi guys

Have been looking through documentation and dashboard to see how I can remove the "Recent Posts" module that appears under a bloggers post. See http://screencast.com/t/904gzN0pe

Full page blog is here http://www.aapeducation.com.au/blog/entry/clinical-kit-98-24-11-2015-apa-restricting-your-pd-access.html

Thanks
Hi Doug,

You can turn off recent post in the blog entry by going to your backend > easyblog > settings > layout > post options > under the author sections, turn off "Show More Posts", http://screencast.com/t/MojbriFQ27 .

Hope these help.

Hi Ezrul

Thanks for your suggestion. When I open EB > Settings > Layout the options that I have are;

General
Pagination
Truncation
Avitars
Toolbar

I don't have a Post Options.

Thanks

Hello Doug,

Seems like you are using outdated version of Easyblog (5.0.5). You might want to update it to the latest version (5.0.30).

Hello Doug,

I see. We do have version checking issue in previous version. You can update by downloading from your dashboard: http://www.stackideas.com/dashboard and manually install it via Extension Manager.

Hi Doug,

Regarding your installation issue, can you provide us your Joomla backend admin access and your ftp so that we can help you to upgrade your EasyBlog? You can submit your site access details at stackideas.com/dashboard/site

Hope this help.

Hi Doug,

I've helped you to install your easyblog to the latest version and also turn off recent blog post from authors from your backend settings. Please have a look.

Looks good. Will the auto updater function now keep me up to date?

Thanks Ezrul.

I have tested the front end of a new blog. On this page:
http://www.aapeducation.com.au/blog/entry/clinical-kit-98-24-11-2015-apa-restricting-your-pd-access.html.

When entering a post as Guest it produces this error:
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected end of data at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data.
So while it looks like an error and nothing has happened, you repeat and repeat making changes. After a few times you naturally give up, thinking nothing is happening. However, after refreshing the page you realise each of your submissions has been recorded. I know as I had to delete about 6 repeats. Please advise.

Hi Doug,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

Do you mean that the error came whenever you post a comment as a guest? If that so I just tried to create a new test post on your site and then submit a comment as a guest but it seems like everything is working correctly as it should be. Check my video link here, http://screencast.com/t/MV1jjQLC . Am I missing something?

I am not sure - I have gone through the process again and still receive same error. See http://screencast.com/t/GPZYx8lFd

I notice the person Meg had completed her comment twice - so I am guessing she had the same experience. I have now deleted one of her replicated comments.

Thanks
