Hi there, when viewing the dashboard and profile pages on easysocial you can see on the left hand side of the page a menu of sorts that shows things like "Recent Albums" and "Applications" just like the attached screenshot here.

On my site I will not need photo albums and therefore want to remove this menu link "Recent Albums" also I do not wish for users to install their own apps - therefore I wish to remove this link also. Can you please let me know how to do this as I am a little confused in the backend of where to hide these elements?

Thanks in advance.
Hello James,

I've disabled the application for you by turning off this setting: http://screencast.com/t/gqlz1Ze0 and for the Recent album, I've unpublished this module: http://screencast.com/t/WZIt5w3v6c . Hope this helps.

Hey James,

You can actually just disable the apps in the Applications section at the back end of EasySocial Alternatively, to hide the recent albums on the sidebar, just edit the albums app and disable the widget

As for hiding the "Browse" for apps, this can be disabled from the settings. Go to Settings > General > Applications and disable the option "Application Browser".

Hi Mark, unfortunately this did not work for me. I have gone into applications in easysocial in the backend and made sure to disable the app altogether, it still shows up on the left hand menu. I include my site details here if its any help to you.

Here is a screenshot of my settings also attached.

As for the hiding of the "Browse" for apps, I went into settings > general >applications like you mentioned and disabled the option "application browser" and again it still shows up on my site unfortunately. Any ideas on this one also?

Thanks

Hello James,

Did you mean this two widgets: http://screencast.com/t/PRGalksi5zR ? If so, you can provide us your FTP access so we can help you remove it.

Hi Nick, yes you are correct, I am referring to these 2 widgets. I would like to hide them in a way that basically is protected against updates to the template. Could you let me know how you do it? Thanks

Hello James,

May I know what post you are referring to? Because this thread is about the widget and module that you wanted to hide. If you meant my post in this thread, here is the copy of it:
