Currently we do not have setting to remove the "Search Blogger" feature.But you can temporary turn it off by go to ..\components\com_easyblog\themes\wireframe\authors\default.php and change true in this line to false in line 16.

For the Slideshow setting you can go to Backend -> Extension -> Module -> Search 'EasyBlog - Showcase Module' -> . Follow my setting as in the screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/i6OzfiAhzwo0

1. Showcase Source = All Post
2. Display Ratings = Show
3. Position = easyblog-after-toolbar
4. Status = Published
