Hi Guys,

I have enabled the re-confirm email during registration. If the user does not enter anything in the re-confirm email area, and then click's submit, the site does not prompt them to complete the re-confirm email text field, and continues to submit the information.

I have tried it using 3 different browsers (chrome, firefox and i.e.) and on my android tablet (using chrome) and it does the same thing. Please can you assist.

Thanks so much.
You are most welcome Suman Nope, you don't have to worry about this fix as this fix is also added internally as well.

Hello Suman,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hello Suman,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I have tested this on your site and upon registering and not entering the reconfirm email, this is what I am seeing here, http://screencast.com/t/jphuPI5mS . Not really sure how to reproduce this issue eh?

Hi Mark,

No worries, I understand that it is the weekend. Thanks for coming back to me today.

It's really strange that it isn't doing the same thing on your end. I have tried it on my Windows 7 PC and my Android tablet, and it's doing the same thing here. Maybe it is something I'm typing in, during registration, that is causing it not to ask to re-confirm the password. Would you mind telling me what you entered during your test of registration (on my site)? I would like to re-enter similar information to you to see if it works. Also, may I ask what browser you guys use? (I know these things may not be the cause, but I'm not sure how else to approach this).

Hello Suman,

I simply typed in an email on the first email input and upon losing the focus, it's already highlighting the second confirm email input. Once I click on a submit, an alert will be displayed stating that there are errors on the form.

Hi Mark,

I see. If I retype the email in the first line, it does ask me to re-confirm the email, just like with your test.

But what happens is that, on my PC (and tablet), the first line of the email (as is the attached image) auto-completes. Then if I just click on submit, (without confirming the email) it continues to complete registration without asking to re-confirm the email.

Ah, I see now. There's actually no errors with it but the bug is that the "re-confirm email" field is not re-populating the value in the textbox but the value is actually already stored in the session. By the way, the FTP access isn't working on your site, can you please advise?

Hi Mark,

It's now working perfectly. Thank so much.

Is the patch you installed something I can download and save, and will I need to re-install it after an update?

Thanks again.
