Hi Guys

I am still having problems with my registration, I am not sure if it has been set up correctly.

Would you be able to go in and test it for me.

Hey Alex,

Can you provide us with your FTP access as well? Because I noticed when I disabled some of the custom field and enabled back, it won't display on registration page again, I believe that was cache issue, may i know how to temporary disable all the cache in your site?

To get ftp access you use the instructions I gave in the site details.

I believe that you did it a couple of weeks ago?

In terms of temporary suspension of cache, I don't think that is possible, it is in the hands of my IT man and he's not very good at getting things done when he should. I am waiting for him to give me complete control of the server but I have been waiting for a few weeks already!

I can ask him to clear the cache now, hopefully it will happen soon, but I can't be sure.

Sorry I know this doesn't help much.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

May i know is there a easy way to connect with your FTP server?

Because I would like to troubleshoot what is the issue causing this registration didn't detect got second step on the registration form, then it keep redirect back to the same page. (You can take a look of my attached screenshot.)

By the way, I noticed your site still got cache even I disabled it from backend > system > global configuration > system > cache settings , you can check on my video here : http://screencast.com/t/iVWqiFea

I have temporary created a mini registration in your site, but the username shouldn't be appear because you already configured to `Use Email as Username`. After you keep refresh the page the username field keep on appeared.

Hi Arlex

The only way to get FTP access is via the WinSCP program you downloaded before. I beloeive you used it a week or so ago?

Regarding the cache issue, there is another cache that needs to be cleared from the back end. The way my server has been set up is for the unlogged in user to run from the cache so that the site runs much faster, but to clear it, this needs to be done completely from the SSH client. I talked to my IT man yesterday and he told me there was a code that you can copy and paste into the SSH client to clear the cache, when he gets around to sending it to me I will send it to you. Although by then the cache would have updated and the username box will have gone. Just checked, indeed if you look at my screen shot, it has gone now!

But for future issues, I will send you the code need to clear the cache from the SSH client.

Are you having problems with the WinSCP program, do you need me to do a team viewer session with you again, I will be available for most of the time today and tomorrow. I will send this to your email address as well.

If I recall correctly I never configure this before, last time you setup for me when we meet on teamviewer that time. However, I already can access in your FTP via WinSCP program, but it seems like when I trying echo something in your site, it didn't show anything.

Can you take a look of my attached screenshot below and see is it I modified correct on your current Joomla root folder?

Even I renamed this file JoomlaFolder\components\com_easysocial\views\registration\view.html.php || JoomlaFolder/components/com_easysocial and clear backend Joomla cache, it still showing Easysocial registration page and login page, by right it will show an error (You can check number 3rd attached screenshot below )

Please advise.

Hi Arlex

I am only emailing you because your website seems to be down.

Sorry to only just be getting this to you, I thought I had sent it yesterday, but couldn't find it when I went looking for it.

Initially the command you can use to clear the public cache is:

rm -r /tmp_mem/nginx/public_cache/*

The cache will be regenerated within an hour.

This needs to be entered into the putty software, if you need me to do this please let me know.

I've tried to access with your SSH but It seems like after I login as www then it will automatically switch off the command prompt screen. If that was possible, is it can guide me how to access your SSH through Putty program?

Thanks for getting back to me, my site was down for a few hours, but is up again now.

Arlex, what happens after putty says authenticating with private key?

I need to ask my IT man as he is the expert with all this. I have given you all the details that I have been told, if you cannot get access then I will try and find out why.

If you can give me more details, I can then ask him.

It won't show when you type but just press enter and see what happens.

The reason I was asking about connecting to WinSCP was that if there was a problem with the public or private key, then you wouldn't be able to connect to this, but as you can then it must be something different. Try the password above and see how it gets on.

At the moment I cannot turn the cache off temporarily, perhaps try this and if this doesn't work, maybe we can arrange a time to do a team viewer session and we can try and fix it from my end.

Hi Again

So I have just had a look at the file you mentioned above, please see the screen shot attached.

It would appear that the file was indeed changed on the 18th Nov, but the name is not as your photo shows.

Even if there was a cache problem, after 6 hours the cache resets and any changes would definitely be made.

Could there be something else going on here other than just cache, I have just checked the registration again and the error message I get is No valid registration page found for this profile. Even though everything in the back end of Easy social is switched on to allow the default user to sign up for my Easy social.

Could you have a check to see if I may have missed something.

Actually that was my private .ppk file access password, if someone access this private .ppk file through putty program, they need to enter password for access this .ppk file.

Yes, I still can't access. Hmm, I suspect that was cache issue causing this registration issue, if that was possible is it can temporary disable it then test again with Easysocial registration?
Because even I create a new profile type for Easysocial `test profile`, when I ask my colleague try to view this page -> https://www.multikingdom.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&view=registration , it will show that `test profile` profile type on select profile registration page, but after a few minute and do a refresh page, this profile type will not show out any more.

You can take a look of my attached screenshot below.

By the way, what time you available tomorrow? Is it possible make it at around 5pm (GMT +8) Thursday (Malaysia Time)?

Hmm I still investigate, because for some reason it keep do redirection if the URL exist language and menu item id (video link : http://screencast.com/t/hQgWohJnLb )

If I temporary disabled language plugin and some other recrawl plugin from your backend, it will work fine.

But this time when I renamed that code file, the browser will not load your page, this is correct.

After that I would love to check why it keep redirection, but when I trying to print out some vardump code in your code file, it didn't show my code result on the page, this is really strange part.

Which of these were you trying to test, how many of them told you they were unsuccesful?
