Hi, I created a user Voice entry for this feature request. Hope I'm not the only one wishing for this...

http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial/item/773

When a user creates a new Event, it is automatically added to his calendar. Unfortunately, when a user click on the calendar entry "view item" button, it doesn't redirect to the event page, Instead it is shown in the calendar entry detail view which only display title and description...

It would be possible to redirect to the Event page.
Hello Aikigi.

I am really sorry because I don't fully under your request. Can you provide some screenshot for us to have a better look?

Looking forward for your reply

Hi Izzan,

When a user creates an event in Easysocial, it adds an entry into his Calendar See screenshot 1.

Now when opening the event in Calendar it open a popup and give a quick overview of it with a button "View item". See screenshot 2.

Unfortunately, when click this "View item" button, it opens another page which display the as if the event was created within the Calendar app. See screenshot 3.

What I would like is to redirect to the real event page instead. See screenshot 4

Thanks

Hello Aikigi.

Can you provide us with joomla backend and FTP access so we can directly fix this issue for you?

Hi Izzan,

I added my site details. Does it mean this is a bug? If yes then I will remove the user voice entry...

Thanks.

Hello Aikagi.

Not. It is not a bug. Just a simple customization. You can change your dialog.view.php in media\com_easysocial\apps\user\calendar\themes\default\canvas\dialog.view.php with this attachment.

I add a line a code at line 15 and make some changes in code at line 67.

Hope this help

Hi Izzan,

Thank you so much for this customization! Works great

Would you know if this will become the default behaviour or should I re-upload the file when I update?

Thanks again!

Hello Aikagi, Hello Izzan.

Am also curious to hear if this will become standard?
Seems to me to be simple common sense

best

Hello Guys,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Thanks for the heads up on this issue. For now we do not have any plan yet to implement this as standard in the future. Kindly perform a backup on this file during the next future update to avoid any lost for now. Thank you for your kind understanding.
