Hi there,

When using the Quick registration method, there is an issue with using dropdown menus, rather than textboxes. In order to save space, it seems you decided to omit the the labels for the dropdown menus. The text boxes have their labels within them. But there is no way to know what the dropdowns are requesting from the user. Is there any way to make the labels optional when configuring the custom field in order to view them in the quick form

Jordan
Hi,

In regards to the quick registration fields, in order to ensure that the style in as simple as possible, title and description are omitted from displaying.

However I do agree that without a "label", it seems confusing. I will add the ability for admin to change the placeholder for dropdown field in the next version, so in that case that dropdown field will have a desired label instead of "Select a value".

Hello Jordan,

Sorry but I am a little lost here. Can you please provide us with the link to the page that displays this issue?

Hi Mark,

I included a link in this reply.

As you can see in the quick registration panel to the right of the login panel, I included a dropdown selector. The dropdown has no label or description and just says 'select a value'. So the user would have to guess what the dropdown is asking for. Sometimes it's obvious, others not. I have a description and a title set for this field and the show description set to 'yes' in the field configuration within Profile Types.

Hi guys,

I just installed 1.2.8 and don't see whether this issue was addressed. Is it planned for 1.2.9 then?

Ah, my mistake! You added a placeholder title in custom profiles. Awesome!

Thanks for everything!
