Profile pictures available only after being cut!

Hello,

when a user uploads a profile picture it is not available until they cut it. How can the avatar be resized automatically and shown without forcing the user to cut it first?

Hello Mohamed,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've checked your site and it seems like you put an invalid integer in the image size from the backend > easydiscuss > layout > avatars, thus causing some issue when the image is resizing automatically. I've put the correct value which is 120 x 120 and the image is appearing correctly now when I upload a new avatar as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-02_1320.png

Hi Mohamed Sakhri,

I've tried to upload a profile picture but i notice the # Your picture # should have an image.

I suspect it's some file permission error.
Can you provide us your FTP access for us to fix this up for you?

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here,

I have checked in your site, by default the Easydiscuss upload avatar is can't skip this cropping process. But we will see if we can improve this in the future.

By the way, I have an ideas, you can using avatar integration to Gavatar, check my screenshot below.

In other word, the user can upload the avatar from Gavatar account. https://en.gravatar.com/

Hi Arlex,

aren't you using the default easydiscus here in your forum? Changing the profile picture here does not require cutting it and it is showing immediately.

I'm aware of gravatar but it is not an option because it requires creating an account on their website.
