After a long way troubleshoot this issue, I've found there is a bug regarding this. I've temporarily remove the category filtering in the EasyDiscuss frontpage menu and its works fine now. I've logged this issue in our issue tracker and our developers will take an action regarding this.

After a further investigate for this issue, where it is cannot replicate locally, we've suspected that the category article discussion menu alias got conflicted with other menu.
We have changed the category alias and it's works fine now and we've revert back the categories filter for the frontpage menu.
