Hi Guys,

I posted a reply here yesterday: http://stackideas.com/forums/preformatted-html-not-encoded#reply-188502 and have been asked by Nick to start a new thread and to elaborate more on the issue.

Preformatted entities are being converted in EasyDiscuss on save. The pre tag in HTML is used to preserve HTML, it spaces and line breaks and therefore it shouldn’t be transformed.

This is especially a problem when using a syntax highlighter when posting code to be viewed in a discussion. At the moment anything within the pre tag is being converted to HTML on save.

Would you kindly provide a fix or show us where this is happening in the code so we can implement our own workaround.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul Franklin
Hello Paul,

Sorry for the delay of this reply, it's a public holiday for us here in Malaysia Is there a way to replicate this issue? I need to be able to test this on our end.

Hi Mark,

No problem it can wait.

When your public holiday is finished please let me know and I’ll arrange to give you access.
Until then enjoy your much earned time off!

Thanks buddy,
