(Posts) Grid Layout Showcase Showing Wrong Date

We have a case where a post was created on June 6, 2021, but the publish date was set to May 28, 2021. This was done on purpose. When the blog is displayed, the published date is used as expected. The issue is with the "(Posts) Grid Layout" menu item. The showcase post is displaying either the creation or last modified date and not the published date. We need it to display the published date. Is there something I can do to fix this? This is on a development server, so it is not yet available for outside access. I have attached a couple of screen shots to show what I am describing.
