Hi,
I would like to link a category to a post template. I try to set a category on a post template but doing a new post using that post template the category is set on default one.

Is there a way?

Tnx
Danilo
Hi Danilo,
I`m not sure how you set a category to a post template. Because it is not possible to assign a category to a post template. Unfortunately, there is no way to do so. Thanks for understanding.
Perhaps you can vote on this feature request in our voice page. When many users vote, we will consider it in future releases.

Hi Raymond,
In attach where I set category for post template (like a normal post). Could be interesting if saved on post template and given to relative post. Anyway next for our reply.

Bye

Hey Danilo,
The highlighted part in your screenshot is actually the default category you set for creating new blog posts, not the default category for post template. The default category for EasyBlog will always be dependent on what you configured in the Categories page.
As mentioned in my previous reply, it is not possible to set default categories specific to blog post template, which is why I suggested you to vote in our voice page.

Hi Raymond,
I have already vote. I have reply to you just to make you know where I set category on post template. What you see is not the default but the primary category (the default is "story" as you can see on admin panel).

I'm asking to me why you don't save category on post template like a normal post ... just this. I wait for change request.
Best regards.
Tnx
Danilo

Hey Danilo,

I have a little bit lost here, can you check my following description is it what you referring?

Video 1 : http://screencast.com/t/aJBbQ0bshI
>> This video is show you how to create a normal post in composer.

Video 2 : http://screencast.com/t/Qtln69Rt
>> This video is show you how to create post template in composer, but when you save this, it will not create a new post in your site is because this post template is allow another user create a new post, they can choose this template.
** And the category will not store in post template in current system.

Hope this explanation will help.
