Hello,

Logically, if in the settings of Profile Types, Post Story In Dashboard is disabled, but that Post Story In Group is activated, the shortcut "Own Timeline" should be displaying, no ?

Because the main purpose of the Quick Posting tool is to post Story in Group.

Thank you,
Philippe
Hey there,

Thanks for your input.

But it does not make sense on this because this Quick Posting tool is part of the story form and the settings determines where is the story form should being allowed at.

Thank you for your response Irwin.

Your Quick Posting tool is very great. Only it is necessarily accompanied by the Story Form to publish in a profile.

Actually, I configured EasySocial so that users cannot post directly from their profile.
In order to segment posts, users can only post to Groups.

Do you have projects to allow this scenario ?
Like separating the Quick Posting shortcut from the Story Form, allowing us to view it only and to have it as a first step to publish.

Hey there,

You're most welcome.

Currently, there is no such such setting/things to do it at this point of time.

Ok. Thank you very much for your return Irwin

As the final version of EasySocial 4 is not yet finalized, maybe this could be investigated...
Just like the fact that this Quick Posting shortcut is not displayed in the Mobile Web Template.

Have a nice day,
Philippe

Awesome !

Does that mean that maybe we could have the Quick Posting button displayed on its own ?

Thanks again Irwin,
Philippe

Hey Philippe,

I am really sorry for the misunderstanding.

Just like the fact that this Quick Posting shortcut is not displayed in the Mobile Web Template.

Initially, I thought that you were referring that the quick post tool is not showing on the story form on mobile view. So I logged this into our issue tracker and discuss with our team on whether this is intended or a bug.

We will keep you updated.

There are two things indeed.

That the Quick Posting button is not displayed on mobile.
And that this same Quick Posting button cannot be displayed on its own.

Ok. Thank you,
Philippe

Hey Philippe,

Just for your update, it is intended for the quick post tool always to be hidden on mobile.

Also, just for your information, I have locked and marked this thread as resolved to avoid confusions in the future. Please start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiries.

Thanks for understanding.
