I was just thinking the same thing earlier today. I am happy to announce that the ES backend updater is fixed which provides some convenience to updating. Having it work through Joomla's updater would be a major breeze. Considering that a API key is required for the installation part, there shouldn't be any concern on the Stacked team's end of a expired subscriber trying to get free updates from Joomla's installer.
