all of the images are different sizes even though i have uploaded them with 800px - some posts show videos some do not, some text is wrap around where some posts do not. How can I create a uniform blog which looks appealing and is consistent in size and layout

Hello Sanjiv,

You should choose "Resize to fill" for the blog image because choosing "Resize within" simply means that it will not 100% respect your width / height settings. It will resize the image within your width / height specified (To respect the aspect ratio of the image).

Just in case others are wondering what are the differences between these 3:

Resize to fill - EasyBlog will fill up the image as much as it can covers (from center) within the specified width / height . Cropping may occur here.

Resize within - EasyBlog will try it's best to resize the image within the specified width / height but still showing the full picture. Images may or may not have the same size.

Resize to fit - EasyBlog will fit the image within the width / height specified. If there's extra space, it will then add a black background to it.

Hello,

To get a pinterest style layout use the RokSprocket module by RocketTheme.

After installing, create a new module of RokSprocket type then in the module creation page select the Mosaic layout, use Easyblog as the content provider and hit continue.

Apply this module to your blog page and voila but...

You might come across a problem where you are displaying both the blog posts and this new pinterest layout module so to sort this you may be after a "blank page" component.

I created one that works with Sh404sef which you can download on my github here.

Once you install the Empage component, set your blog page to that and then the only thing that should show is the module.

Then to hide this module in the blog entry page look at this feed here.

I hope this helps.
