There are pros and cons to both. However if your host supports Imagemagick, I would stick with Imagemagick. Imagemagick generally uses larger file size because of the quality of the resized / processed photos.

Hi. If I understand correct, ImageMagick generate (create) files with bigger size?

Anyway site will generate thumbs, big thumb and keep original file?

If site not about photography and current photos quality (created by GD Library) is enough to me, so it’s better continue to use GD Library?

I read article and didn’t found reason to change GD Library to Image Magic https://www.sitepoint.com/imagick-vs-gd/
