hi

i have a site that requires user to log in, i have easy blog set to the home page.
is there any way i can keep the home page ACL to public, but set easy blog so only registered users can see it, currently if i set the home page to public, it displays the blog article on the home page, even if the user is not logged in, and if i set the home page to registered, it causes a message to dispay on the home page saying "please log in first"
Hey Stuart,

Please set the domain for your EasyBlog license at http://stackideas.com/dashboard . Once that is done, we'll assist you with your question

Hey Stuart,

Thanks for the prompt response! With EasyBlog, you can actually just configure EasyBlog to enforce users to login to read more. This way, the front page of the blog is always visible to public users but upon clicking on the read more, they are required to login.

To enable this feature:

1. Go to the back end settings of EasyBlog
2. Click on the General tab.
3. Ensure that the "Login to read full post" is enabled.
4. You are good to go to set EasyBlog's front page menu item to be public

hi

thank you for your quick response, how ever this doesnt resolve my issue, as it still allows the extension to display some content on the home page, when set to public, i need it to display no info to public or guest view on the home page, i thought of setting the categories to registered, but i still get a message, saying no articles yet.

Hey Stuart,

What would you like to display on the main home page then? I was under the impression that you want to display "some" information from the blog to the user.

hi

i have added the blog to the home page, but its a closed network website, so i only wish registered users to view the blog, so i dont want guests to see the blog, all they will see is a login page

Hey Stuart,

Perhaps, what you could do is to set the home menu item to the login form instead of EasyBlog?
